What the calculators do with your input

The vehicle price, trade-in value, ZIP code, state and every other value you enter into a calculator are used only inside your own browser, by the page's own JavaScript, to work out the estimate. None of it is sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone. Close the tab or reload the page and it is gone.

Accounts

The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no login. There is nothing to register for, so we do not hold a profile, a password or a saved history for you.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a site can ask your browser to store. This site does not set cookies of its own, but the two services described next, Google Analytics and, in the future, advertising, each set their own cookies, separately from anything in this site's own code.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to see, in aggregate, which pages get visited and roughly how people find and use the site. It sets cookies (in the "_ga" family) and collects information such as the pages you view, an approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We look at this in aggregate, to see what is working, not to identify you individually.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy and may combine it with information from other sites and services it operates. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We intend to run advertising on this site through Google AdSense and comparable ad networks. When that is running, Google and its advertising partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's past visits to this site and other sites on the internet. That lets an ad network show ads it judges more relevant, and it may also limit how many times you see the same ad.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalized ads from many other providers at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance's tool at aboutads.info. These opt-outs are run by Google and the Digital Advertising Alliance, not by us, and they apply to the browser and device you set them on.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running. We use these logs in aggregate, to see that the site is working, not to identify individual visitors.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone we know to be under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies from Google Analytics or an ad network will not stop the site from working, but it limits how visits are measured or how tailored any ads are.
Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Opt out of Google's personalized ads at Google Ads Settings, or of several ad networks at once at aboutads.info.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard yet for how a site should respond to it, so this site does not currently change its behavior based on that signal.

Links to other sites

State pages link to official government sites as sources, and the site may in the future show links or ads from advertising partners. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, for example if we turn on advertising or analytics. The version on this page is the current one.
